HELEN CERINA [URBINO]
Helen Cerina si occupa di danza e arte visiva. Si diploma in Cinema d’Animazione all’Istituto d’Arte di Urbino e consegue il BA (Hons) Dance Theatre al Trinity Laban College di Londra. Nel 2007 partecipa come borsista al Dancewebeurope di Vienna, continuando nel 2009 la sua formazione nel Choreoroam, progetto di sviluppo artistico ospitato in varie nazioni:-Operaestate Festival Veneto/CSC – Regione Veneto-The Place di Londra-Dansateliers di Rotterdam-Dansescenen Copenhagen-Paso a-2/Certamen Coreogràfico de Madrid - Dance Week Festival/Zagreb Dance Cente.
Lavorando da sola, e in collaborazione con altri coreografi, è stata artista residente presso Reiss Arti Performative di Torino e Daghdha Dance Company Ltd a Limerick, Irlanda. Nel 2008 viene selezionata dalla Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore di Ravenna e nel 2010 partecipa al bando Nuove Sensibilità, piattaforma per le nuove creatività, vincendo la produzione dello spettacolo Dulcis in pomerio. Dedita alla disciplina coreografica nelle sue accezioni più ampie, il suo interesse si volge verso tutto ciò che si muove vedendo nel movimento la condizione primaria affinché epifanie possano avvenire. Il suo campo d’azione, che dalla danza sfocia in altre forme di rivelazione, è informato da un forte credo nell’importanza di una consapevolezza ecologica.
Helen Cerina is a dance and visual artist. She studied animated cinema in Italy and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre from the Trinity Laban College of London. In 2007 she was a recipient of a Dancewebeurope scholarship Wien. While creating collaborative and solo work she further developed her practice through Choreoroam, an artistic development project hosted in various countries:-Operaestate Festival Veneto/CSC – Regione Veneto - The Place London -Dansateliers Rotterdam - Dansescenen Copenhagen - Paso a-2/Certamen Coreogràfico Madrid - Dance Week Festival/Zagreb Dance Centre.
As an artist in residence she also worked at Reiss Arti Perfomative Turin and Daghdha Dance Company Ltd Limerick, Ireland. In 2008 she was selected for the platform for young choreographers Giovane Danza d’Autore Ravenna, Italy and in 2010 participated to Nuove Sensibilità, a platform for new creators in Naples, Italy, winning the production of the performance Dulcis in pomerio. Dedicated to the discipline of choreography in its broadest sense, her interest is drawn to everything that moves, as movement, in her view is the primary condition for that epiphanies to happen. Her field of action pans from dance to different modes of revelation and is informed by her strong belief in the importance of ecological awareness.
